Our small cattery is situated in the tranquil village van Zeewolde, in the polder of Holland. Flevoland wich is all built on water starting in the fifties. The village I live in is also the youngest village of the Netherlands. Since the polders of Holland are a monument of strugglle, hard work and a vision of what it could become and it did with such wonderful results i deceided to call my cattery after the town i live in, VAN ZEEWOLDE . I do love the green surroundings we have her, the quit and peace..the sounds of birds in my garden and my cats watching them from a safe distance :-)) in our fenced garden.
My cats are part of my family and treated as such.
We loved them all to bits wich shows in the thousend of pictures i made from them.... more pics of the fourlegged then the two legged parts of this family ;-) that does mean someting!
We are also registered in TICA named ACATCALLED my son came up with the idea! So in the near future you can see some A cat called stars on this website.
Last eight years we have started our own breedingprogramm with carefully selected lines imported from Canada ,United States, Australie and Europe. We believe that the Ragdoll should be a large impressive cat with a loving and laid back purrsonality. We are trying to increase size in our breed and maintain good type with the silkysoft fur and babyblue eyes with that typical sweet ragdoll look. Not easy but you have to have a vision and a passion for this wonderful breed.
For their health we combine traditional as well as holistic methods like homeopatics, vitaminssupplements, probiotics and bachflowerremedies with very good results to keep our cats healthy, happy and with a strong immunesystem. We do this in close consultation with our vets and specialists.
Our cattery is tested Negative for Felv - Fiv and our cats are tested on yearly basis for PKD and HCM. lately also the DNA test for HCM in USA and Germany.
We got our first ragdoll nine years ago and fell in love with their beautiful looks and even more important their wonderful Ragdoll-purrsonality. Once you know them you will never be the same....They are sweet, funny, inquisitive, loving, loyal, intelligent and they have so much love to give...i can only be thankful to have them in my life. ) Ragdolls are very special and have an amazing ability to love....
My cattery is registrated in NRKV,Tica , RCFI and also different dutch independent clubs.
All my cats and dogs living together in our home and are a part of our family. And family comes first...
When the weather is good ( We do live in Holland !) you can find them in the fenced garden, with climbtrees and places to do hide and seek and afcourse take the best seats in our gardenchairs ;-) Also a favourite place is my bedroom....In the afternoon when i take my nap, because i have a chronic disease
I do need to rest regurlarly and then you can find them all on my bed on my belly or at my feet. Very comforting and good company for me. Together we listen to my relaxing tapes and they absolutly love it....and are even more relaxed then usual......Even when they are playing when they listen to the meditationmusic they always stop playing and within 5 minutes everyone is asleep, or meditating or making fun at me;-))
